1.7 Entering Data

Enter Data into the DataEntry sheet created by the DataDictionary

  • Leave missing data blank
  • Do not add additional header rows
  • Do not store information for biostatistics in cell formatting or comments - these are not imported
  • Hidden rows and columns are not hidden from statistical software, remove these before sending
  • Do not add pivot tables, summary statistics or graphs to the DataEntry sheet. You can create a copy of the DataEntry sheet to place these on.

**Note that some versions of Excel will change cell contents to red even when data meets the data validation rules. This is an Excel bug and
